English Translation and meaning:

O Lord of success with twisted trunk (vakra-tunda) and massive appearance (maha-kaayaa) whose splendor is equal to that of ten million suns (surya-koti)  that showers his blessings on everyone (sama-prabha). O my lord of lords Ganesha (kurume-deva), please kindly remove all obstacles (nir-vighnam) from all my activities and endeavors (sarva-kaaryeshu) always (sarva) and forever (sarvadaa).
For the pursuit of obtaining knowledge remember these five...Gananatha (God of beginnings, controller of good start, directions and remover of obstacles), Saraswati (Goddess of learning), Ravi (the Sun), Shukra (the teacher), Brihaspati (God of knowledge).

Today, I'm starting my blog around the theme - Dare, Care and Share. I believe these are the three things that make our life meaningful and successful.

Dare - One of the origins of the word ‘dare’ is from Sanskrit word - dhá¹›'á¹£  which means ‘to be bold or courageous or confident’.  The courage to express oneself is most important step to living your life. One can suppress or repress his/her feelings or thoughts, but the innate nature of human being is to express them.

Care - Compassion or empathy gives birth to caring. I remember one quote I saw in my doctor's office that says "We care and the god cures". We need to develop awareness and discipline to care for ourselves, others and the planet. All relationships are held together because there is care and compassion.

Share - We grow more by sharing what we have. All co-operations, partnerships and collaborations are based on sharing. Unconditional sharing is hard to find. If one has to develop wisdom in life, (s)he has to learn and master art of sharing and synthesizing.

I bow down to the goddess Saraswati (the goddess of expression, art and knowledge) to help me express and share my thoughts with care and courage in a manner that will be useful and helpful for all.

Thank you for being with me.

In coming weeks, I'll share new things with care and courage.

Live, Love and Leave a legacy !
